Course Description
This is the seventh program in a series of 10 modules included in the Anesthesia Assistant Training Program (AATP). Focus will be placed on commonly enountered respiratory and cardiovascular diseases, with emplasis on clinical relevance to office-based anesthesia. Course Objectives
- Define hypertension and describe commonly used anti-hypertensive agents
- Identify commonly encountered cardiac rhythm disorders
- Explain problems associated with asthma
- Define obstructive sleep apnea and list 3 risk factors associated with office based anesthesia / sedation
