Course Description
This program is the ninth of ten modules included in the Anesthesia Assistant Training Program (AATP). Prevention, diagnosis and treatment of anesthetic emergencies will be discussed, including angina, syncope, stroke, allergy, disorders of blood pressure and heart rate and hypoglycemia, among others. PLEASE NOTE: This course is only available as part of the Anesthesia Assistant Training Program and cannot be purchased individually. Course Objectives
Describe clinical scenarios of various anesthetic emergencies and discuss treatment protocols
Identify oxygen, nitroglycerin, diphenhydramine, ephedrine, esmolol and labetolol
Identify a premature ventricular contraction on a dynamic ECG tracing
